Purpose / General Description:

This is a PTE (Part time employment) role described as an introductory level role in Electrical Engineering at BEM. The position has been created to fulfill the medium and long term resource planning of the BEM R&D group in the design, development, testing and fabrication of electro-mechanical systems and equipment used in Boon Edam products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the R&D Team as requested.
  • Assist Team in performing testing and setting up test apparatuses.
  • Assist R&D Team in assembling prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
  • Assist R&D Team in the set up and operating of test equipment to evaluate quality, performance and reliability, under simulated operating conditions.
  • Be prepared to attend academic on and offsite training. Offsite training will be treated as working hours with attendance and behavior standard as if in the office.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma/certificate in electrical technology or related study.
  • Self starter attitude, positive attitude, maintain a high level of approachability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and actively contribute to the success of the team
