MPI Engineered Technologies is a 50+ year Leader in Fine Blanking Products. With locations in Deerfield WI, Knox, IN, Queretaro, Mexico and our Corporate Office in Troy, MI, we are focused in the automotive and industrial markets with customers such as Ford, GM, and John Deere. As a tier one supplier, we are dedicated to producing high quality products while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental health. We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish) Program Manager working out of our Corporate Office in Troy, MI.
Overview:
This is the point position in new product launches as requested by customers. Requires an individual who is organized and can ensure follow through on all aspects related to a new product launch, including, but not limited to: die design, die build, process development (direct manufacture and support), PPAP processing and submittal, customer relations and communication, and final release for manufacturing. These duties may require meeting facilitation, development of time lines, coordination of internal departmental activities, and ensuring deadlines of activities are met as the relate to new product development and launch. The position may also require administrative duties related to customer specific systems of product launch requirements and communications. Systems training may also be required at customer site(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the launch of new programs including die design, die build, documentation, PPAP processing, PPAP submission and release to production.
  • Coordinate the processing and shipment of prototypes.
  • Coordinate the implementation of process changes including PPAP requirements and inventory management.
  • Facilitate Meetings with cross functional teams.
  • Report program status to MPI-WF Management.
  • Complete trend analysis of launch performance and implement changes to improve the process.
  • Act as the liaison between WF and MPI Sales as well as the customer.
  • Travel/attend customer meetings (may include travel outside the country)

Qualifications:
  • Degree in a technical/business field with minimum 3 years of experience in a technical related field and/or 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a technical field (i.e. engineering, quality, direct manufacturing, etc.)
  • Computer skills in MS Office including WORD and EXCEL.
  • Experience in multiple task management.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A basic understanding of IATF standards and AIAG APQP/PPAP requirements.
  • Experience in MS PROJECT software.
  • Automotive experience.
  • Leadership / supervisor experience
