Position Description
The Product Account Manager is the end-to-end business owner for a hyperscale client's Air Handling Unit (AHU), Air Cooled Chiller (ACC) or Modular Data Center (MDC) product line. This role is accountable for growth, profitability, execution and client satisfaction. This role sits at the intersection of Account Management, Product Lifecycle Management, and Supply Chain Execution, ensuring our roadmap, commercial model, and delivery performance are tightly aligned to the client's scale, velocity, and expectations. You will drive the book of business through forecast accuracy, pricing discipline, program execution, inventory strategy, and defect-free delivery, while orchestrating cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Legal, and Supplier Management).
Key Responsibilities
Account & Commercial Ownership:
  • Serve as the primary product-facing contact for the assigned hyperscale product line.
  • Lead quoting efforts and RFP/RFQ responses.
  • Lead revenue, gross margin and share of wallet targets for the assigned product line.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for the product line.
  • Own the opportunity pipeline in CRM.
  • Build strong relationships within the customer's organization throughout all cross-functional teams including the engineering, sourcing and program teams to understand needs and drive alignment.
  • Support multi-year account planning activities, leveraging the strengths of Modine's portfolio for the customer's requirements.

Product Line Leadership:
  • Define product line strategy & positioning for the client across portfolio mix and lifecycle transitions.
  • Translate client roadmaps into internal requirements for Engineering, Operations and Procurement.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities for cost, performance and reliability.
  • Support product qualification activities, documentation reviews and technical inquiries (with engineering support as needed).
  • Own configuration, pricing bands & option inputs.
  • Ensure product data integrity (BOM accuracy, Lead times, SKU hygiene).

Forecasting & Demand Planning:
  • Partner with the client and internal planning to build rolling demand and supply plans.
  • Drive forecast accuracy, backlog hygiene, and demand signal quality.

Program & Delivery Alignment:
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure customer expectations are met for delivery, quality and communication.
  • Support customer-driven change requests

Product Feedback & VoC:
  • Serve as the primary voice of the customer for their product line
  • Gather customer insights regarding performance, serviceability and future needs.
  • Share customer feedback internally to support roadmap development and continuous improvement.

Required Education & Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Account Management, Technical Account Management or Sales of highly engineered capital goods to industrial or commercial customers.
  • Experience in HVAC&R or data center cooling equipment
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across all internal cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in CRM software and other sales tools.

Preferred:
  • Experience working directly with hyperscale, colocation or neo cloud data center clients
