The incumbent will directly lead Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP), and Procurement, empowering directors to guide their teams in producing timely financial reports, efficient invoice processing, and cost-effective purchasing strategies.**Primary Responsibilities and Duties:*** Architect and lead comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring precision, compliance, and operational excellence.* Drive the design and execution of financial reporting frameworks.* Lead the development and execution of budgeting and forecasting strategies.* Formulate, implement, and optimize accounting policies and procedures to support business growth.* Ensure rigorous adherence to regulatory standards and strengthen internal control environments.* Deliver high-impact financial insights to inform and guide strategic decision-making.* Strategically lead the AP function, ensuring seamless, timely, and accurate payments.* Develop and institutionalize advanced AP policies and workflows.* Ensure full compliance with corporate policies and evolving regulatory requirements.* Oversee and optimize the entire procurement lifecycle, driving efficiency and alignment with corporate objectives.* Develop and implement forward-thinking procurement strategies that maximize value across cost, quality, and delivery.* Lead high-level contract negotiations and foster long-term, strategic supplier partnerships.* Enforce and enhance procurement compliance standards and processes.* Continuously monitor procurement performance and spearhead process innovations for sustained improvement.* Design and implement a robust, formalized procurement program; establish and refine procurement policies to drive enterprise-wide efficiency.* Assume additional responsibilities as necessary for continued growth and advancement Everwise.**Knowledge/Skills:*** Proficiency in developing, managing, and executing comprehensive financial strategies.* Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory requirements (including NCUA), and financial best practices.* Experience in long-term financial planning and aligning accounting operations with organizational goals.* Strong knowledge of risk management strategies to protect the Credit Unionโ€™s financial assets.* Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach, mentor, and manage teams.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information.* Strong analytical skills to assess and identify trends with strong problem-solving abilities proposing effective solutions.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), accounting software, and financial reporting tools.**Minimum Requirements:*** High School diploma or (GED) equivalent* Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting or finance required.* 8+ yearsโ€™ experience in accounting required, preferably in financial services or credit union industry.* 5+ years' experience in leadership role or management role.* CPA, masterโ€™s degree preferredEverwise is an equal opportunity employer.
