Position acts as a Processor ( Employment Professional) for the Retail Division of Sunrise Enterprises of Roseburg, Inc., a private Nonprofit Corporation that provides community inclusion and employment services for adults with disabilities. This position is responsible for processing, sorting, tagging, and preparing donations/inventory at assigned store. Priority is safe and high efficiency production while maintaining a quality product. As an Employment Professional, this position is also responsible for assisting in the training, supervision, and motivation of participants to safely achieve their employment goals and meet company quality standards. Inspires greatness in both the individuals we serve and our team members by fostering a culture of encouragement, growth, and high performance. May assist in other retail functions as needed.

Qualifications
- Two years' experience in production setting are preferred.
- One year's experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
- High-school diploma or GED, or acceptable combination of experience and education.
- Proven, stable employment history.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, timekeeping software, and case management software.
- Excellent verbal and written positive, open, collaborative, and solutions-oriented communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Oregon Driver's License, reliable transportation, and be insurable by Sunrise Insurance carrier.
- Must be dependable and maintain a good attendance record.
- Must be able to follow directions and work both independently and in groups.
- Proven, stable employment history.
- Pass criminal history check, (May include fingerprinting.) and drug screen including marijuana/THC.
- Must have or is able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Must have ability and desire to relate to people with physical/mental disabilities with dignity and respect.
- Must be able to obtain OIS Certification and believe in its philosophy.
Working Conditions/ Hours: Typically, 20 - 40 hours per week as scheduled; workdays and hours may vary. Stores typically operate seven days a week from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Weekends may be required. Travel may be required to transport participants in an emergency or to attend company meetings and training. Overtime may be required with prior approval from the direct supervisor. Mostly indoors with some exposure to outdoor conditions; possible exposure to loud noises, dust and donated product of varying conditions.
Physical/Mental Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Occasional sitting and driving. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to stay calm in tense situations. Operates pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently. Ability to multitask. Essential Functions:
Processor Functions
- At the beginning of each shift, promptly review emails, daily schedules, and staff assignments. Ensure merchandise is organized and displayed according to standards, be prepared to deliver excellent customer service.
- Assist customers in unloading donated products.
- Get job assignments from supervisor at the start of each shift.
- Keep work areas supplied with material as needed.
- Notify supervisor well in advance if you need more materials to keep working.
- Assist with other retail functions as needed.
- Effectively diffuse disagreeable customers and situations and follow safety protocols.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in a stressful environment.
- Perform production duties as requested while meeting production goals. Know and follow existing quality control of product or service being produced.
- Perform duties and complete tasks as requested by supervisor in a reasonable amount of time.
- Maintain agency records in a professional manner consistent with prescribed guidelines and expectations.
- Attend and participate in required meetings, training, and committees.
- Do not exceed responsibility/authority delegated to you by supervisor.
- Exhibit good judgment in situations not specifically covered by agency policy or procedures.
- Participate in safety and safety programs.
- Keep work area in a clean, safe condition.
- Report any safety hazards, accidents, incidents of neglect, abuse, emergencies, or problems to supervisor and/or appropriate person per policy.
- Submit time sheets and other required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Meet regular attendance requirements at assigned worksite because job requires face-to-face interaction with clients, customers, or other employees, and/or because job utilizes on-site products and equipment.
Support Functions
- Assure quality of Sunrise employment services.
- Serve as a role model for appropriate work behaviors, social skills, respect for others, and cooperation.
- Follow all participant protocols, including training, employment, medical, and behavioral supports.
- Provide transportation to participants as needed.
- Complete and provide evidence of training(s) to meet state requirements for Direct Support Professionals.
- Participate in the development of ISPs with Employment Services (must come to agreement of ISP before presenting to ISP team).
- Submit all required paperwork to respective recipients by scheduled due dates (e.g., record training efforts, Participant productivity, progress towards ISP goals, case notes, incident reports, etc.).
- Keep relationships with participants professional and limited to work settings and supports. Notify your supervisor of any conflicts of interest due to preexisting relationships with participants.
- Other related duties as assigned.
