Job description

Distribution Center Belleville, MI

Responsible for directing the day-to-day outbound operations of the order processing department within a distribution center.

Oversee all aspects of the order processing department.

Assist in ensuring that the department is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures daily.

Work with the operations managers and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, productivity, etc.

Responsible for team member evaluations being written and delivered in a timely manner.

Provide leadership, training, and guidance throughout the department and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level.

Work with the Operations and DC manager to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing these goals.

Work closely with the Human Resources Supervisor and the Operations Manager to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.

Assist the operations and DC managers with planning to prepare annual capital expenditure listing for budgeting purposes.

Work with the DC manager for approval on any expenditure for the department.

Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.

All other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment

Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on customer service

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Basic computer skills

Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately

Desired:

College degree or logistics certification

2+ years previous experience in a supervisor role

Advanced computer skills

Completion of the O'Reilly supervisor training program

Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
