Job Title:  Ink Inplant Supervisor                           

Location: La Crosse, WI 

Shift: 1st / Normal business hours

POSITION OVERVIEW: Oversee in-plant operations at the assigned customer. This includes responsibility for maintaining operating expenses, employee development, employee performance monitoring, implementing standard procedures, key performance indicator reporting, vacation coverage scheduling, and safety.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as point person in operational in-plant matters for the customer and Sun Chemical. Coordinates with Sales and Customer Tech Service leadership to ensure proper technical support to the given customer.
  • Completion of in-plant personnel performance management reviews, coordinate in-plant personnel training and employee development programs, work closely with Regional Manager and HR regarding employee relation matters. Address employee performance.
  •  Provide strong press side technical support.
  •  As needed, perform color matching and formulation
  •  Leads continuous process improvement.
  •  Maintains detailed production and QC records.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 5 years of general industrial management experience
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to be successful.
  • Reporting is also a requirement; therefore, strong written communication skills are required.
  • Well versed in a variety of dispensing software platforms (Novaflow, Mixmaster, etc.) and color matching technologies (X-Rite, GSL, etc).
  • Strong pressroom and printing process knowledge

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years experience in printing or chemical industry
