Process Implementation Manager information

What are some common challenges faced by process implementation managers when introducing new processes, and how can they be effectively addressed?

Process Implementation Managers often encounter resistance to change from team members who are accustomed to existing workflows. Overcoming this challenge requires clear communication about the benefits of the new processes, involving stakeholders early in the planning phase, and providing thorough training. Additionally, unexpected technical or operational obstacles may arise, so flexibility and problem-solving skills are crucial. Regular feedback sessions and monitoring progress help ensure that any issues are promptly addressed, leading to smoother adoption and long-term success.

What is a process implementation manager?

Process Implementation Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the introduction and integration of new processes or improvements within an organization. They analyze existing workflows, identify areas for enhancement, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation. Their role often involves project management, change management, and ongoing monitoring to ensure that new processes deliver the expected results. By streamlining operations and fostering efficiency, they help organizations achieve their strategic goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a process implementation manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Process Implementation Manager, you need expertise in process analysis, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies, often supported by a bachelor's degree in business or engineering. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, workflow automation tools, and project management software like MS Project or Asana is typically required. Strong communication, leadership, and change management skills help drive adoption and collaboration across teams. These skills ensure successful implementation of process improvements that enhance efficiency and achieve organizational goals.

Job description

About Can/Am Technologies
At Can/Am, we have been creating great software that empowers our clients to provide outstanding service to their customers for over 15 years. Our Teller Cashiering software is an industry-leading solution that automates and streamlines cash handling and financial management practices for County, and City governments. Can/Am serves clients across North America, with staff operating in the following locations: Edmonton Alberta and Denver Colorado.
We've built an engaged team of hard-working and collaborative people in our U.S. and Canadian locations. Successful Can/Am team members model these values:
  • Pursue thoughtful understanding | approaching every situation and person with compassion, seeking to gain insight at a deeper level
  • Challenge reality | aspiring to improve with candor and future-focused ambition
  • Engage growth together | cultivating a dynamic environment with opportunities to learn, have fun, and realize full potential
  • Spark | igniting joyful experiences and innovative solutions with passion and energy
  • Pay it forward | creating lasting value by investing generously in our people, platforms and community
Position Summary
Can/Am is hiring an Implementation Specialist to configure our Teller platform for county and city governments - and to personally stand behind the quality of that work. The role focuses on implementation: meeting with clients, translating their requirements into workflows and configurations, and guiding each project through go-live and quality assurance. This includes writing user test plans, running the tests, and fixing defects before a client ever sees them. You will help more governments adopt Teller as we grow, working closely with clients and our delivery team. You will report to the Implementation Configuration Lead, with roughly 30% travel to client sites.
Qualifications
You are a fast learner who takes ownership of both configuring a solution and proving it works. True must-haves:
  • Knowledge: how to translate client business requirements into application configuration, workflows, and business processes.
  • Experience: 5+ years implementing business or financial software for clients, including hands-on technical configuration (SQL, XML, JSON).
  • Abilities: build client rapport, document data mappings and integration specs, and write clear user test plans and reproducible defect reports; able to travel ~30%.
  • Skills: SQL scripting (Oracle preferred) for data validation; configuring and testing enterprise applications; writing test plans, scenarios, and test data.
  • Nice to have (not required): government / public-sector clients, API authentication, cloud-hosted solutions, Agile/Scrum, and a Business or Project Management degree.
What you will be doing
  • Translate client requirements into Teller configuration, workflows, and business processes.
  • Configure and deploy the solution to client specifications, and document data mappings and integration specs.
  • Write and run user test plans for your own configurations; record and remediate defects before UAT.
  • Confirm each deliverable meets our quality standard ahead of go-live.
  • Train clients on the configured solution and support go-live.
  • Coordinate project schedules and cutover steps with the delivery team.
What you will receive
  • A challenging, fulfilling career with co-workers who interact within the framework of our values as a small, vibrant team
  • A competitive pay scale
  • Generous benefits
    • Health
    • Dental
    • Vision
    • Life
    • 401K
    • PTO
  • The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our team and clients

If you are qualified for this position and have a passion for configuring reliable software, serving the people who serve the public, and proving your own work, we would love to hear from you!
Salary Range Disclosure
Salary will generally fall between $85,000 and $100,000 USD annually before adjustment for geographical differences.
