Description:

NFPA Global Solutions (NGS) was founded in 2024 to improve fire, life, and electrical safety worldwide. By offering compliance solutions, digital products, and advisory services, NGS helps mitigate risks, enhance safety, and boost operational efficiency for businesses and governments of all shapes and sizes. NGS is a separate fully owned NFPA corporation and will introduce new offerings via acquisitions and the launch of new businesses.


We are looking for a strong and passionate candidate who will lead process improvement initiatives, the pursuit of NRTL recognition and oversee the continuous improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS). This role serves as the primary contact for external accreditation bodies and manages related audits in the areas of testing, inspection, and certification. With the trusted NFPA Global Solutions brand, we are poised for significant growth and looking to find a candidate who is up for the challenge!


  • Owns the development and execution of plans to achieve NRTL status
  • Leads and owns interaction with OSHA and accreditation bodies
  • Works with technical team to develop and maintain all of the necessary quality documentation required for accreditations
  • Ensures that the entire team is aware of accreditation requirements and their role in achieving and maintaining accreditations
  • Manage internal audits and management reviews as well as internal training on policies and requirements
  • Works with leadership to instill a culture of quality throughout the organization
  • Process Analysis & Optimization: Analyze existing operational processes using Lean Six Sigma tools (VSM, DMAIC, root cause analysis) to identify bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies.
  • Lean Six Sigma Leadership: Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and DMAIC projects to deliver measurable business results in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to establish metrics, track project progress, and validate improvements.
  • Change Management: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by training and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean principles, Kaizen, and 5S.
  • Provide regular progress updates to leadership
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required
  • Deep knowledge of NRTL Program requirements and ISO 17020, 17025, 17065 accreditation requirements
  • Deep knowledge of quality management systems and auditing
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills; ability to influence teams at all levels.
  • Must be energized and self-motivated and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
