We are looking for a Process Excellence Engineer to join our Care Chemicals business unit, where you will play a key role in leading project execution across all areas of our operations. Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support for the production plants - troubleshooting and resolving reoccurring process and production upsets
  • Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of systems and procedures that optimize performance, leveraging tools such as MES, PI, Trendminer, and PowerBI
  • Analysis of OEE/UEE data to identify reliability and capacity improvement opportunities
  • Provide technical expertise in process safety, including support for PSM audits and Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs)
  • Collaborate and share know-how and experience with other Clariant process areas, including Global Competence Centers as well as training operators and supervisors on existing and new processes/procedures.
  • Strive to implement most up-to-date and efficient technologies, with an emphasis on automation
  • Support CAPEX projects by contributing process expertise - from defining scopes and leading Management of Changes (MOCs) to supporting commissioning activities
  • Identify and lead sustainability and environmental initiatives as part of project execution
  • Support the successful commercialization of new products, including cost estimation, product portfolio capacity reviews, and new production introductions

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or chemical industry (chemical processing experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of DCS systems (desired)
  • Project management experience with knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and / or statistical analysis (desired)
