Job description

A private household in New York City is seeking an experienced, professional, and highly skilled Live-Out Private Chef. The ideal candidate will have prior UHNW household experience, strong knowledge of Nigerian and Continental cuisine, and the ability to prepare healthy, well-balanced meals for a private household.
This is a full-time role supporting a private household in a luxury condominium residence in Midtown Manhattan. The residence is occupied by two adults, with no children or pets, and one housekeeper currently on staff. The household prefers fresh, healthy meals and requires a chef who can confidently manage daily meal preparation, menu planning, grocery shopping, kitchen organization, and inventory.
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Start Date: July/August
Responsibilities Include:
  • Prepare up to four meals per day for the household
  • Create healthy, fresh, and well-balanced meals
  • Prepare Nigerian and Continental cuisine
  • Plan menus based on household preferences
  • Grocery shop and source quality ingredients
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and ensure the kitchen is well stocked
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and properly maintained
  • Provide table service when required
  • Support any special meal requests or household needs
  • Assist with food sourcing, vendor coordination, and kitchen supply management

Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous private chef experience in a high-profile household
  • Strong international cuisine experience required; Nigerian cuisine experience preferred, or willingness to learn the household's preferred cuisine style.

Compensation: $140,000k -$180,000k annually, based on experience, schedule, and qualifications. Benefits to be discussed.
