Job description

Print industry experience is highly preferred for this role. Only Atlanta-based candidates will be considered. This role will be in the office.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager works closely with the Sales team and Shared Services teams to fulfill the client's needs and help build client relationships. Skills required for this role include being an outstanding communicator, being able to multitask, be very proactive and organized. Must know the larger landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project progress, staying alert for risks, and resolving issues as they arise.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understands all of the customer service functions and is proficient at all Project Manager functions
  • Proven track record of managing small projects of various complexities, and ensuring the project progresses on schedule and budget
  • Partners with Shared Services:
    • Customer Service to release orders
    • Creative for design, design intent, strategy, and presentations
    • Graphic Center to determine the print substrates and production method that is best suited for the final use of each print project
    • Design Development to determine materials and production methods best suited to meet the design intent of a fixture project
    • Procurement for purchasing outside products
    • Logistics and Installation to determine timelines, best shipping methods, and a high level of on-site implementation
  • Seeks out developmental opportunities and actively participates in internal and professional training initiatives and seminars
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with print vendors and internal print facilities.
  • Attend and/or assist with press checks and installations.
  • Monitor costs and continually strive for cost reduction and increased profit margins
  • Ensure consistency and quality control through full process so delivered orders are within budget and on time.
  • Assist in the coordination of logistics issues, packaging, and shipping of products/projects at vendors and MZ warehouses.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are required on the job.
  • Some travel may be required depending on the client and scope of work

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in purchasing, negotiating, and estimating. Prior print industry experience in positions such as purchasing, estimating, and/or customer service is strongly preferred.
Special Skills/Qualifications: Basic inventory control knowledge is preferred, project coordination skills, strong communication skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: SEDENTARY WORK: Lifting 20 lbs. maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying articles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and/or push up to 30 pounds with mechanical assistance. This position requires stooping, kneeling, bending, manual dexterity, repetitive hand and arm coordination, finger dexterity, vision acuity, both far and near, with depth perception. The incumbent will sit 75% of the time and stand/walk 25% of the time.
