Join our team as a Part-Time Lab Assistant and be an essential part of our laboratory operations! In this role, you'll help create a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment while assisting with equipment setup, sample preparation, and basic lubricant testing. Your support will help drive smooth workflows and successful daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lab dishes & dumping samples.
  • Takes care of the recycling in the Laboratory
  • Replenishes lab supplies
  • Help with chemical inventory
  • Blending/Filling Schedule -enter into lab batch display, print out test sheets, print labels
  • Finding COA(s) for lab techs or calling and requesting COA(s)
  • Scanning and electronically filing test sheets, COA(s), obsolete specifications, SDS(s), misc documents
  • Wiping down counter tops and keeping the lab clean
  • Sand copper strips for the laboratory
  • Preparing pentane filters for the laboratory
  • Unpacking and labeling reagents
  • Keep sample room up-to-date with dumping old retain samples which includes dissolving old powders and polymers with base oil.
  • General office tasks- laminating, collecting mail, getting office supplies

What You'll Need to Succeed as a Part Time R&D Lab Assistant
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
  • Years of Experience: 0 - 2 years laboratory experience (entry level)
  • Computer skills including data entry, word processing, spreadsheet creation, and modification. Familiarity with SharePoint preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Good problem-solving skills and mathematical skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work in a group setting or independently while meeting deadlines
