What’s a typical day as a Lab Technician? You’ll be:
  • Preparing and testing formulation samples for physical properties using standard processing equipment such as bead mills, high shear mixers, air jet mills, and blenders with minimal supervision.
  • Independently evaluating samples for physical properties using laboratory instruments like laser diffraction particle size analyzers, rheometers, density meters, and pH meters.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring all instruments are in good working order, promptly reporting and discussing any issues.
  • Accurately labeling samples in compliance with EH&S requirements and keeping a detailed laboratory notebook documenting all experiments and results.
  • Upholding high housekeeping standards in the laboratory and leading by example in promoting safe work habits.
  • Documenting results of experiments in detailed reports and communicating project status promptly, raising any issues to the project owner.
  • Preparing and submitting necessary documentation for product changes/updates.
  • Communicating with stakeholders on documentation status.
  • Participating in A1 inventory team as needed.
