Description – What You'll Do

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests—including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond—following established procedures.
• Interpret results for precision, identify and resolve discrepancies, and carry out maintenance and calibration on lab equipment.
• Aid in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis, ensuring quality results.
• Document processes in detail, mentor new colleagues or interns, and help to uphold laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a tidy, safe workspace and meet all regulatory and accreditation protocols.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a similar allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain active certification for the duration of employment.

Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration within healthcare teams.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve, especially in high-pressure environments.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail, particularly regarding quality control and reporting.
