Description โ€“ What You'll Do

  • Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory testsโ€”including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyondโ€”following established procedures.
  • Interpret results for precision, identify and resolve discrepancies, and carry out maintenance and calibration on lab equipment.
  • Aid in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis, ensuring quality results.
  • Document processes in detail, mentor new colleagues or interns, and help to uphold laboratory quality standards.
  • Ensure a tidy, safe workspace and meet all regulatory and accreditation protocols.

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a similar allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Maintain active certification for the duration of employment.
