We are looking for a PT Lab Technician to join Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana!

What you will work on:
  • Completion of end-of-line product testing to support Warrick production centers (PCs).
  • The technician will travel (via scooter) from the lab to the PCs to pick up samples for testing using an assigned sample vehicle.
  • The technician is expected to work safely in an environment where samples must be processed to test size using shears and punches, and tests use various chemicals including sulfuric acid, MEK, hexanes, etc.
  • Testing includes coating strip weights, lube strip weights, color Yi, physical properties, adhesion, and others
  • Good Lab Manufacturing Practices are required.

This position will be a rotating 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour shift schedule. (7 - 7)
In addition to regular end-of-line testing, the technician is expected to participate in Process Management and complete work on special projects as needed. The work is performed in a diverse environment, communication, computer skills, and work ethic must be strong. Good performance in this role could result in permanent employment.
