About this Position
In this role, you will be a technical subject matter expert in Premium Audit. You will ensure the proper application of auditing principles and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will enhance the skills and technical proficiency of staff and partners to improve performance. You will also be the department's primary liaison to internal and external partners. You will foster agreement and consistency across the organization. Additionally, you will help accomplish operational and strategic projects. These projects contribute to the effectiveness of the Premium Audit department.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Premium Audit procedures, communicating changes to department staff.
  • Respond to classification, audit rule application, and process inquiries from Premium Audit staff and internal partners, including Underwriting, SID, and Claims.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive course content, including classroom instruction, on-the-job training, and e-learning modules.
  • Assess department training needs and determine appropriate instructional approaches in partnership with management and SMEs.
  • Design and facilitate structured new trainee onboarding and ongoing technical and soft skills education for department personnel.
  • Provide training and communications to partner departments regarding Premium Audit practices, updates, and requirements.
  • Partner with leadership to analyze Premium Audit operations, identifying opportunities to improve current practices.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • At least four years of experience within Workers' Compensation insurance operations or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • Knowledge of Premium Audit and Underwriting principles, NCCI Basic Manual Rules, as well as the application of Texas Labor Codes.

Preferred Skills:
  • Associate in Premium Audit or CPCU designation.
  • Knowledge of Premium Audit and Underwriting principles, NCCI Basic Manual Rules, as well as the application of Texas Labor Codes.

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Base Pay Range: $102,485.35 - $126,599.55 Per Year
