Job description

Are you passionate about building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service in the retirement plan industry? M3 is seeking a skilled Retirement Plan Manager II to support our M3 Financial team in servicing employer-sponsored retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) plans.

As a Retirement Plan Manager II, you will utilize your retirement plan knowledge and professional communication skills to serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintain and grow relationships, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction. You will work closely with Retirement Plan Consultants, the Managing Director, and other M3 Financial staff — including conducting educational meetings independently and participating in group sales presentations.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all service inquiries for new and existing clients, providing excellent customer service both in-house and in the field.
  • Support all M3 Financial retirement plan sales initiatives, including processing new business and proactively working the renewal cycle to ensure consistency and service improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors, attending client meetings with Retirement Plan Consultants and conducting meetings independently when required.
  • Provide educational support to clients through group and individual enrollment meetings, knowledge sharing, and on-site visits to clients' places of business.
  • Prepare new account processing paperwork and proactively track the transition stages of new business for M3 Financial.
  • Organize and prioritize workflow for M3 Financial's book of business, maintaining accurate client files and documentation in agency systems including EPIC.
  • Assist with broker-dealer and industry compliance activities to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Cross-sell as appropriate, referring clients to M3's P&C and Employee Benefits divisions for individual or personal lines needs.
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar support role within financial services, insurance agency, TPA, or a company specializing in employee benefits.
  • Series 65 license required; or willing to obtain within onboarding period.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Life, Accident and Health insurance license preferred or willing to obtain upon hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with well-developed professional interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of internal and external clients.
  • Broad knowledge of mutual funds and financial markets preferred.
  • Proven organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and agency automation systems (e.g., EPIC); willingness to learn new programs and software.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays on occasion.
