Job description

Oracle Utilities C2M Solutions Manager
Position Summary
Company in Nashville, TN is seeking an Oracle Utilities C2M Solutions Manager to serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and the Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter (C2M) platform. This individual will provide functional leadership, solution guidance, and oversight of development efforts to ensure business needs are translated into effective and sustainable technology solutions.
The ideal candidate possesses deep functional knowledge of Oracle Utilities C2M, including business processes, workflows, and configurations, with sufficient technical understanding to evaluate solutions and troubleshoot issues without requiring deep architecture-level expertise.
This role is not intended to be a hands-on developer but requires sufficient technical understanding to evaluate solutions, identify root causes of issues, guide development efforts, and ensure adherence to Oracle Utilities best practices. This role requires an individual who can actively guide development teams by recommending solution approaches, reviewing proposed fixes, and providing technical direction without being a day-to-day developer.
This position will work closely with business leaders, developers, support resources, and third-party partners to drive application enhancements, resolve complex issues, and support the organization's ongoing C2M initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a functional Oracle Utilities C2M professional who possesses enough technical depth to troubleshoot issues, guide development teams, and evaluate solution options. While not expected to perform day-to-day coding, this individual should understand how Oracle Utilities applications are configured, extended, and supported within a utility environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary functional and solution lead for Oracle Utilities C2M.
  • Collaborate in person on a regular basis with Nashville-based COE, Solutions, and business teams to align priorities, evaluation solutions, and support issue resolution.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business teams by participating in solution discussions, operational planning, and requirements analysis.
  • Evaluate business requests and provide recommendations for system enhancements, process improvements, and solution designs.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to define technical approaches, review solution options, recommend remediation strategies, and ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to developers by leveraging prior development experience to evaluate design decisions and proposed system fixes.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and identify root causes of complex system issues and guide corrective actions, including:
  • Lead triage efforts for complex Oracle Utilities C2M production and operational issues by identifying impacted components, determining root causes, and defining the specific corrective actions required for resolution.
  • Independently assess application errors, configuration issues, and process failures, providing clear direction to technical teams rather than simply escalating issues for investigation.
  • Diagnose application issues and identify impacted components, workflows, or configurations, providing direction for resolution efforts.
  • Provide direction and oversight to technical teams, ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices.
  • Participate in solution reviews and development discussions to ensure business and technical alignment.
  • Support application releases, enhancements, testing activities, and change management initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, development standards, and governance requirements.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business leaders and operational teams.
  • Support evaluation of application enhancements and solution options that align with evolving business needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for C2M functionality and related utility business processes.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience working with Oracle Utilities C2M and/or CC&B.
  • Strong functional understanding of Oracle Utilities C2M business processes, configurations, workflow execution, and operational support.
  • Ability to triage Oracle Utilities C2M issues and determine where functional, configuration, or development changes are required.
  • Experience working directly with development teams and guiding technical solution delivery.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot application issues, including determining where development changes may be required.
  • Prior experience serving as a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or Solution Lead on Oracle Utilities C2M implementations, enhancements, or support organizations.
  • Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and Agile practices.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within the Utilities industry.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
  • Understanding of Java, Groovy, scripting, or other Oracle Utilities development concepts.
  • Exposure to Oracle Utilities Cloud Services (CCS).
  • Experience with Meter Data Management (MDM).
  • Previous leadership, project lead, or team management experience.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.
