Job Title: PowerPoint Project Specialist

Location: Framingham, MA

Biomedical Media Services is currently seeking a motivated, talented, and experienced PowerPoint Project Specialist for a 6 month contract position to help our team. The PowerPoint Project Specialist plays a key role in designing and developing PowerPoint slide content to be used across the company. Eligible candidates are adept with PowerPoint and have strong design skills. The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize and deliver clear, compelling, and actionable PowerPoint content. This role requires strong communication skills, with the PowerPoint Project Specialist working very closely with internal stakeholders to understand their concepts and successfully translate them into illustrations or graphics. Our ideal candidate sees presentations not just as corporate slide decks, but the opportunity to use design to convey meaning and tell a story. Must possess the ability to convey key points through graphs, illustration and/or information graphics. They must be organized, dependable and knowledgeable while able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Must possess the ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously while capable of producing a high volume of work.


Job Responsibilities

Working under the supervision of the Manager of Biomedical Media Services, you will be responsible for designing and developing visual presentations in PowerPoint. Regularly create new presentation slides that tell a story, integrating charts, tables, and words to deliver a compelling message. Incorporate concepts, builds, transitions, animations, data visualization and other techniques that can be used to help convey meaning. Assist in non-presentation production design tasks when needed, including infographics and other related materials. Translate initial designs all the way through to a finished product. Provide excellent customer service. Thrive in a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment. Multitask and prioritize workload with quick turnarounds. Provide the Manager of Biomedical Media Services with project updates regarding client deliverables and schedule. Ability to travel to client meetings within the Cambridge/Framingham area. Other duties as assigned.


Skills: Experience and Skills

Expertise in PowerPoint required; proficiency with other Microsoft applications and Adobe Creative Cloud a plus. Adaptability and strong interpersonal skills. Strong corporate presentation skills. Project management skills, including managing multiple projects in a timely manner. Influence, negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.


Demonstrated design expertise required. Expert knowledge of PowerPoint, the MS Office and Adobe suites. A demonstrable skill in conveying complicated messaging requirements in simple, clear ways. Proficiency in data visualization, chart creation and other conceptual presentation tactics. Candidates should have a portfolio of relevant work samples. This is a full-time, 6 month contract role in Framingham, MA. Must possess professional demeanor to effectively engage and communicate with team members. Speed in execution to meet tight timelines without sacrificing quality is essential. Ability to work independently and under close direction/supervision from other team members. Should possess a solid grasp of design principles including: layout, typography, color, balance, composition and current design trends. Be passionate about problem solving, consultative, creative and who can teach and present their knowledge to the existing staff of Biomedical Media Services.


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media or equivalent field, with 2-4 years experience in PowerPoint presentation design experience is required.
