Position Details:

Position Summary:

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering scalable, high-impact data products that support critical power market settlement workflows. You will partner closely with engineering, product, and domain experts to drive technical direction, improve development practices, and ensure the successful delivery of reliable, high-performance systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, fostering a high-performing team that delivers scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Champion a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to define and drive technical strategy, improving development processes and enhancing Developer Experience across teams.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Agile teams and domain experts to deliver complex, business-critical software solutions.
  • Develop and grow the Engineering Team by recruiting, hiring, and retaining curious and driven Engineers who delight in solving our customers' problems.
  • Provide technical guidance and architectural input to ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term platform goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering leadership roles
  • Hands-on experience writing software.
  • Experience influencing technical direction and driving delivery across multiple teams or complex systems
  • Passionate about creating and improving efficient software development practices.
  • Strong communicator with a passion for coaching and developing others.
  • Have a track record of collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver great products.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies (we use Kanban).
  • Experience with Lean Software Development, DevOps, and CI/CD is a plus.
  • Energy industry experience or experience in equities/commodities trading is a plus.
