Job Summary:
LTM is seeking an Onshore Power BI Lead to manage the migration of legacy SSRS reports to Power BI. This role involves leading the end-to-end delivery of migration projects, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality solutions are implemented.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead largescale SSRS to Power BI migration initiatives including report rationalization redesign and modernization
โ€ข Define migration strategy roadmap and execution approach liftandshift vs reengineering
โ€ข Own solution architecture for Power BI reports datasets and semantic models based on enterprise standards
โ€ข Establish best practices for report development performance tuning reusability and governance
โ€ข Act as the primary onshore point of contact for business stakeholders product owners and IT leadership
โ€ข Conduct requirement workshops to translate SSRS reports into optimized Power BI dashboards and reports
โ€ข Present design proposals migration progress risks and outcomes to executive and operational audiences
โ€ข Drive business validation UAT coordination and signoffs
โ€ข Provide technical and delivery leadership to offshore Power BI development teams
โ€ข Review designs Power BI artifacts DAX calculations and dataset models for quality and scalability
โ€ข Ensure adherence to timelines delivery milestones and SLAs
โ€ข Identify and mitigate migration risks related to data quality performance security and user adoption
โ€ข Implement Power BI governance models including workspaces deployment pipelines and access controls
โ€ข Ensure rowlevel security RLS and compliance with enterprise security standards
โ€ข Optimize datasets using star schema modeling aggregations and DirectQueryImport strategies as applicable
โ€ข Define standards for versioning documentation and operational handover
โ€ข Support Power BI adoption by defining report usage standards and user experience principles
โ€ข Guide business users transitioning from paginated SSRS reports to interactive Power BI experiences
โ€ข Contribute to training materials and knowledge transfer sessions as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 8 years in BI/reporting platforms with strong hands-on Power BI experience
โ€ข Proven experience leading SSRS to Power BI migration programs in large enterprises
โ€ข Deep expertise in Power BI Desktop, Service and Premium capacities
โ€ข DAX, Power Query, M and data modeling
โ€ข SSRS architecture, subscriptions and report types
โ€ข Strong understanding of SQL Server data warehouses and dimensional modeling
โ€ข Experience working in onshore/offshore delivery models
โ€ข Excellent client-facing communication and leadership skills
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with Azure data services, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory
โ€ข Exposure to Power BI deployment pipelines and CICD practices
โ€ข Experience with enterprise governance, audit and compliance requirements
โ€ข Background in analytics modernization or cloud BI transformations
