Job description

Summary of the role
The IS Lead - Digital Solutions & Artificial Intelligence is responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, and supporting digital and AI-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen decision-making, and drive innovation across Trelleborg Medical Solutions. This role serves as a technical and business liaison for artificial intelligence, automation, low-code/no-code platforms, advanced analytics, digital workplace solutions, and emerging technologies. The position partners with business leaders, process owners, quality, manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with TMS objectives, regulatory expectations, and information security standards. As TMS continues its digital transformation journey, this role helps establish AI governance, evaluate emerging technologies, reduce shadow AI risk, and ensure solutions are implemented in a secure, compliant, sustainable, and business-value-driven manner.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Transformation & Innovation
• Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and support of digital solutions across TMS.
• Identify opportunities to automate business, manufacturing, quality, and support processes through technology.
• Develop practical roadmaps for emerging technologies and digital innovation initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into technology solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through process digitization, workflow optimization, and user adoption.
Artificial Intelligence Strategy & Enablement
• Act as a TMS subject matter expert for AI technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
• Evaluate AI platforms and technologies in alignment with Trelleborg and TMS strategies.
• Lead AI use-case discovery workshops with business and functional teams.
• Develop and maintain an AI opportunity pipeline focused on measurable business value.
• Implement and support AI solutions that improve productivity, quality, customer service, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing operations.
• Promote responsible AI practices, governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify future opportunities.
Power Platform & Digital Solutions
• Serve as technical lead for Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, and Dataverse.
• Design and oversee citizen development frameworks and governance.
• Establish standards for low-code/no-code solutions, including documentation, ownership, support, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure digital solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and properly documented.
Governance, Compliance & Security
• Establish and maintain AI and digital solution governance processes.
• Ensure solutions meet quality, cybersecurity, privacy, validation, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Partner with Technical Services, Infrastructure, Information Security, and application owners to validate architecture and compliance requirements.
• Assist in audit readiness activities and support validation efforts as required.
Project Leadership, Adoption & Change
• Lead technology projects from concept through implementation and transition to support.
• Develop business cases, project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and success metrics.
• Coordinate internal resources, vendors, and external partners.
• Ensure successful deployment, adoption, knowledge transfer, and ongoing operational support.
• Develop awareness and training programs related to AI and digital technologies.
• Provide coaching to business users, power users, and citizen developers.
Additional Responsibilities
• Support enterprise innovation initiatives and strategic technology planning activities.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and system integration initiatives as needed.
• Create and maintain standards, documentation, solution inventories, and best-practice guides.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Information Technology, digital transformation, business systems, analytics, automation, or artificial intelligence initiatives.
• Experience leading technology projects and cross-functional business initiatives.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies and modern collaboration platforms.
• Strong understanding of business process analysis, solution design, and change adoption.
• Experience working with cloud-based technologies and SaaS applications.
Preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot, and Dataverse.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Services, OpenAI technologies, or other enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience with manufacturing, medical device, life sciences, or another regulated industry.

Base Salary Range: $118,000 - $159,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
Onsite Requirement: For the first six months, this role will be fully onsite (Monday-Friday). After that period, the position may transition to a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week.
