Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Powder Coater to support daily production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing, coating, and inspecting metal parts to ensure high-quality finishes that meet customer and production standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to maintain consistent workflow while working collaboratively with the production team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, pretreat, and clean metal parts for coating, including masking and racking components correctly.
  • Apply powder coatings using manual spray guns or automated systems according to specifications.
  • Perform quality checks—first piece, in-process, and final inspections—to ensure coating consistency and finish standards.
  • Monitor curing oven temperatures and conveyor line processes for proper part flow and coating results.
  • Troubleshoot coating issues such as film thickness, coverage, or adhesion problems.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • 3–5 years of hands-on powder coating experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • 1+ year experience coating on a conveyor line or with multi-stage wash/prep systems.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to operate, adjust, and maintain spray and curing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift to 50 lbs. during an 8-hour shift.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Technical or trade certifications in coating/painting preferred but not required.
  • Safety steel toe shoes required
  • Comfortable with frequent standing, bending, lifting, and reaching
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
  • Pay rate is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
