The College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University is seeking applications for two Post Doctoral Researchers. The successful candidates will manage and execute research studies to result in a series of publishable contributions to knowledge which answer important questions in the field of molecular biology of paramyxoviruses, pneumoviruses, and coronaviruses; represent an important contribution to the validation or modification of scientific theory or methodology relating to the topic area; result in important scientific knowledge; and are definitive of a specific topic area. The candidates will also accomplish other duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in virology, microbiology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, vaccinology, public health, biochemistry, veterinary sciences or other related fields.
Desired Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in virology, veterinary science, vaccinology, epidemiology, or public health.
Working Conditions:
This position will involve experimental approaches to understanding the biology of coronaviruses, paramyxoviruses, and pneumoviruses, understanding vaccine candidates and therapeutics for infectious diseases. It will also involve developing animal models to understand virology and virotherapy.
