Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation to travel to and between work sites as required by the position
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of commercial carpentry experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of rough and finish carpentry practices, metal stud framing, and blueprint reading
  • Proficiency with layout, power tools, and construction equipment
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety regulations and best practices
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various conditions
  • Reliable, organized, and solutions-focused

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Familiar with Outlook Software for Emails and Meetings
Responsibilities
  • Supervision: Direct the daily work of carpenters, apprentices, and laborers; ensure proper task delegation and workflow.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors to maintain schedule and resolve site conflicts.
  • Planning & Scheduling: Develop daily and weekly task plans based on project schedules and priorities; adjust as needed for changes or delays.
  • Documentation: Filling out daily logs with daily scopes completed and ongoing progress, including pictures, hours and specifics about the team.
  • Quality Control: Perform regular inspections to ensure work meets blueprints, specs, and company quality standards.
  • Safety: Promote and enforce safety practices, conduct tool talks, and ensure full compliance with OSHA and jobsite rules.
  • Training & Development: Teach best practices, review performance, and coach crew members to help them grow in skill and responsibility.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve field issues efficiently, escalating concerns when necessary.
  • Communication: Serve as the bridge between field teams and office leadership-clearly communicate expectations, updates, and needs.
  • Resource Management: Track inventory and ensure timely ordering of materials, tools, and consumables to avoid delays.
  • Blueprint Implementation: Interpret construction drawings and lead layout and framing activities in line with project requirements.
