Job description

OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE: Podcast Host
LOCATION: St. Paul Campus
PAYRATE: $16.50 per Hour
JOB SUMMARY: The St. Thomas Libraries are creating an innovative, new podcast where a student host interviews a different faculty member each episode about their research and how it impacts people beyond those in colleges and universities.
• Contribute creative ideas to make an awesome podcast
• Develop interview questions
• Research background info on each faculty member and their research
• Conduct a 30-min pre-interview meeting with each faculty member
• Interview the faculty about their research
• Meet to evaluate the session and how to make the next interview even better

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be an enrolled and degree seeking student at the University of St. Thomas.
• Prefer some form of journalism or media experience.
• Must have a flexible schedule to complete approximately one interview per week for the rest of the Summer 2026 semester.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
