Overview

At RAMPQuest, we partner with organizations to navigate complex cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, offering expertled consulting, advisory services, risk assessments, and program management. With deep experience across both public sector and commercial clients, we help organizations operationalize standards such as NIST SP 80053 and CMMC, including services as the Program Management Office (PMO) for GovRAMP. We are seeking a strategic and technically grounded Director of the Program Management Office (PMO) to lead and scale our cybersecurity program delivery and compliance initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of GovRAMP program leadership and RAMPQuest advisory services, driving both internal program excellence and external client success. The Director will lead a high-performing PMO responsible for delivering secure, compliant, and scalable solutions that support government and commercial organizations navigating complex cybersecurity frameworks.

We are located in Indianapolis and are looking to fill the on-site position, with local applicants given preference. For the right candidate, we will consider remote work.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and evolve the PMO to deliver high-quality, scalable cybersecurity and compliance programs
  • Provide leadership and development for PMO managers and team members
  • Align team structure, capacity, and delivery models to support both program operations and client services

Program & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee delivery of PMO-managed programs aligned to frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP
  • Provide technical leadership across cloud security, compliance, and program implementation
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and continuous improvement of all program outputs

GovRAMP Program Leadership

  • Serve as a key leader supporting GovRAMP program strategy and framework evolution
  • Partner with internal committees and external stakeholders to advance program standards
  • Contribute to industry thought leadership and represent the organization in external forums

RAMPQuest Client Services

  • Partner with RAMPQuest to deliver advisory and managed services, including:
    • Readiness assessments
    • Compliance program design
    • Ongoing support for cybersecurity framework alignment
  • Help scale service delivery models that enable consistent, high-quality client outcomes
  • Support client engagements, solution design, and strategic advisory initiatives

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Work cross-functionally to drive innovation, automation, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor evolving cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements to maintain industry leadership
  • Build partnerships across public and private sectors to support compliance harmonization efforts
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, compliance, or program management
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical or program teams
  • Deep experience with NIST 800-53, with exposure to frameworks such as FedRAMP, CJIS, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
  • Experience supporting cloud security across multiple architectures
  • Background in consulting, advisory, or client-facing delivery models (strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to scale teams, processes, and service delivery
  • Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting to leadership and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
