Job description

Position Overview - We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the modernization of an examiner workflow application that will replace and enhance a legacy system using AWS GovCloud services. The Business Analyst will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to elicit requirements, create and manage user stories, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·        Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements for web-based and data-driven applications.

·        Develop, refine, and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.

·        Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and other Agile ceremonies.

·        Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and desired outcomes.

·        Support application development, implementation, continuous improvement, and maintenance activities.

·        Assist with Agile delivery using Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor''s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

·        Minimum 10 years of experience supporting business analysis, project delivery, or enterprise initiatives.

·        At least 2 years of experience in IT portfolio management and customer relationship management.

·        One or more of the following certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, SAFe, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Desired Skills & Experience

·        Experience supporting AWS GovCloud application development projects.

·        Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.

·        Proven experience creating user stories with clear acceptance criteria, prioritization, and estimation.

·        Hands-on experience facilitating backlog grooming, release management, and PI Planning sessions.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
