AWT has the following position open in our Minneapolis, MN location:
The schedule for this position is Mon - Th, Hours are 2pm - 12:30am. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements.
Plate making, generating final Len files, processing digital rerun files, pre-mac production (putting together incoming orders), maintenance and any other duties assigned by the Prepress Supervisor.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities (Note, activities that occupy approx. 90% of time):
  • On time, error free plate making as dictated by daily production schedule.
  • Accurate time and materials charges in PSI.
  • Purging of obsolete plate files and associated computer files

Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities (Occupies balance of time):
  • Any other activities as directed by supervisor.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiative to ensure customer satisfaction and that all jobs meet or exceed the customer's expectations.

Requirements
Physical Job Demands:
Able to stand/sit for extended periods of time working at desk/computer as needed.
Able to lift 50 lbs. to waist level without assistance (this applies to plate making only).
Skills/Abilities to Meet Job Requirements:
Good communication skills - professional written and verbal; knowledge of digital file manipulation; ability to take direction and accomplish projects in a timely manner; ability to work independently and in a team environment; ability to perform multiple tasks and understand priorities; attention to detail; good Mac and PC skills; proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Esko Software Suite; familiar with PC Windows based software and PSI a plus.
