Job Summary
Extrusion operators are responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce plastic products according to quality standards and production schedules. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient operation of extrusion equipment, monitor product quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain a safe and organized work environment
Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machinery, ensuring products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Adjust machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and speed to optimize production.
  • Monitor the extrusion process, making adjustments to materials and processes as necessary to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet the required dimensions, appearance, and functional properties.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues with the extrusion machines to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Assist with material handling, including loading raw materials into machines and managing finished product outputs.
  • Document production data, including machine settings, production rates, and quality checks, for accurate record-keeping.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in keeping equipment in good working condition.
  • Communicate with supervisors and other team members to ensure production goals and timelines are met.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of operational efficiency.
