Job description

Are you passionate about food and providing consumers with an unforgettable dining experience? If so, we have an exciting opportunity at our busy restaurant to be our next line cook. We require an experienced cook who is familiar with a wide range of cooking techniques, including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking.


You must ensure that every order is cooked properly according to our standard recipes and that it fully satisfies our guests' demands and requests. Our ideal candidate has outstanding time management skills as well as a team-first mindset to effectively assist other kitchen personnel and keep our operation running smoothly and efficiently. Compensation:

$16 - $18 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Prepare food orders on the line by cooking items to order, grilling, broiling, sauteing and meet all presentation guidelines and follow standard recipes
  • Assemble a system of food stations and fill them with everything they need for the shift
  • Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations
  • Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served
  • Interact with visitors, vendors, and associates while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
  • Craft authentic, delicious pizzas with meticulous attention to detail, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Expertly handle dough, from preparation and stretching to shaping and baking.
  • Master the operation of our wood-fired oven, ensuring pizzas are cooked to perfection.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure seamless service and exceptional dining experiences.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Contribute to menu development and special pizza creations.

Qualifications:
  • Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic
  • Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
  • Previous experience working in food service is preferred
  • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
  • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
  • Proven experience as a Pizza Maker, with a strong understanding of dough handling and wood-fired oven operation.
