Job Description: CNC Mill Programmer | Byron Center, MI Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for excelling in cnc mill programmer? We are collaborating with leading companies in Byron Center seeking experienced CNC Mill Programmers to drive results. If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Byron Center seeking CNC Mill Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
  • Optimize programs for efficiency, cycle time, and tool life.
  • Perform simulations and verify tool paths to prevent collisions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot issues.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
  • Document setup sheets, tooling lists, and operational procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Proficient in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM) for generating G-code.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience programming multi-axis (3, 4, or 5-axis) CNC mills.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and its application to manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Experience with tool selection, fixture design, and process optimization.
  • Solid knowledge of various machining materials and their properties.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with 5-axis programming.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software beyond basic requirements (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, etc.).
