Material Bank

Raleigh, NC

Job description

Material Bank is the world's largest material marketplace for the architecture and design industry. Operating in 37 countries, our platform has become the standard for design professionals around the globe. Every day, Material Bank connects thousands of designers with tens of thousands of materials from leading brands. Material Bank is the fastest and most powerful way for design professionals to search, sample, and specify materials.

About DesignShop & Samplize

DesignShop and Samplize represent Material Bank's emerging consumer-focused businesses, marking an exciting new chapter in the company's growth strategy. Having successfully built a $2B-valued B2B company, Material Bank is now leveraging its deep expertise in brand relationships, advanced technology, and logistics to unlock significant growth opportunities with end consumers and renovators.

Samplize, acquired as our first foray into the consumer space, provides innovative peel-and-stick samples that make paint selection easier than ever. DesignShop serves as an all-in-one platform empowering renovators at every step — from inspiration and visualization to seamless ordering of product samples across multiple categories.

About the role

As our Senior Lead, Growth Analytics & MarTech, you will own the technical backbone of growth across DesignShop and Samplize. You will be the single person accountable for our performance analytics, site A/B testing program, and MarTech signaling stack — the pixels, CAPI, feeds, tagging, and attribution. You will also co-own technical SEO with our external agency and lead our emerging GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) workstream.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone equally comfortable writing SQL, reading a tag manager config, scoping an experiment with engineering, and presenting a weekly readout to leadership. You move fast, ship in small increments, and use AI-native tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex) as part of your daily workflow. The ideal candidate will be located in Boston, MA or New York, NY.

What You'll Do

  • Own analytics and the weekly operating rhythm: Lead the weekly performance huddle across both brands and handle ad-hoc analysis across marketing, brand services, and product in Hex, Tableau, and Snowflake
  • Own site experimentation end to end: Run ideation, scoping, instrumentation, analysis, and write-up of A/B tests across the funnel, driving both test velocity and win rate
  • Own MarTech signaling and data quality: Manage pixel, CAPI, and server-side tagging across Meta, Google, and Pinterest, plus GTM, OneTrust consent, feed management, and event quality
  • Build with AI-native tooling: Use Claude, Cursor, and Codex to scaffold internal dashboards and lightweight apps that replace heavier vendor tools

What You'll Bring

  • 6-8 years of experience in growth analytics, MarTech, marketing analytics, or a blended growth engineering function, ideally at a consumer, DTC, ecommerce, or marketplace brand
  • Strong hands-on SQL against a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or equivalent) and fluency in a modern BI tool such as Hex, Tableau, Looker, or Mode
  • Hands-on experience implementing and debugging pixels, CAPI, and server-side tagging for Meta, Google, or Pinterest, including GTM and consent management
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of A/B testing using AB Tasty, Optimizely, VWO, Statsig, GrowthBook, or similar
  • Experience with attribution platforms (Rockerbox, Northbeam, Triple Whale, or similar) and feed management (Feedonomics, GoDataFeed, or Marpipe)
  • Comfort working with engineers — reading a PR, writing a crisp Jira ticket, and pushing work through to ship
  • Vendor management experience with MarTech contracts and accountability for data quality and delivery
  • AI-native working style — daily use of Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools to move faster on analysis and tooling
