Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides patient care support to the patients and staff.
  • Greet and direct patients to treatment booths.
  • Gather the appropriate treatment equipment as indicated on patient treatment records.
  • Provide assistance or may apply treatment to patients under the direction of the Therapist or Therapist’s Assistant. Treatment may include applying hot or cold packs, aligning electrical stimulation electrodes, and massage.
  • Listen to patient concerns, needs, and responses and make notes on the patient’s treatment records and relay information to the Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Remove used or soiled towels, padding, and pillows from treatment rooms and replace with clean ones. Assure treatment rooms are prepared for the next patient.
  • Maintain supplies by assuring there is an adequate supply of pads, filled gel bottles, and heat packs. Wash and fold laundry and stack on shelves.
  • Clean equipment after patient use.
  • Administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Other job duties as assigned.Adherence to GOPT Policies
  • Demonstrate positive rapport with staff members, developing positive employee relations.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.
  • Take direction and initiate actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Follow GOPT polices and procedures, including safety processes.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of the job. Physical Demands/Working Conditions
  • Physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, and lifting.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
