Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location : Indianapolis, IN
Type: Full Time
Our Client is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to support core HR operations, drive employee engagement, and partner with leaders to foster an inclusive and high-performing workplace. This role is central to executing transactional HR processes, guiding associates and supervisors, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute core HR processes including onboarding, orientation, unemployment claims, exit interviews, leave administration, OSHA reporting, and transitional return-to-work programs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to associates and supervisors on policies and procedures.
- Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and staffing plans.
- Manage eTime system and payroll-related activities.
- Support HR Business Partners in driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Administer programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required (preferred for internal candidates).
- 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources management or equivalent training/experience.
Certifications
- HRCI Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
- Workday experience preferred.
Professional Skills
- Strong active listening and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to motivate, develop, and direct personnel resources effectively.
- Social perceptiveness and strong interpersonal skills to build trust and resolve issues.
