Job description

Location: Hattie Mae White Department: Counseling, Curriculum Design & Assess Area:District Wide Contract Months:12 Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 Academic Year: 26-27 JOB SUMMARY Leads the coordination, communication, and implementation of professional learning and collaboration structures to ensure effective delivery of curriculum design and instructional practices to schools. Works across central office and schools to ensure that all content intensives are delivered with high quality. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1

Leads cross-functional coordination of professional learning aligned to curriculum design priorities 2. Designs and implements systems to communicate curriculum updates and instructional expectations to schools 3. Manages and develops staff responsible for professional learning delivery and coordination MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED 4.

Collaborates with curriculum, instruction, and school leadership teams to align training and support structures 5. Monitors effectiveness of professional development through data analysis and continuous improvement cycles 6. Coordinates planning, logistics, and execution of district-wide professional learning initiatives EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum 3-5 years experience in curriculum design, professional development, or instructional leadership.

SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION Software Oracle SAP Microsoft Office Other: Professional learning systems, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, data analysis Equipment Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier) LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES Level 3-Manages. Accomplishes the majority of work objectives through the management of direct reports. Provides day-to-day directions to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems

Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.

WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT BUDGET AUTHORITY No budget development activity is required. PROBLEM SOLVING Decisions are made with greater freedom and discretion, including recommendations that are subject to approval on matters that may affect multiple departments across HISD. Job is frequently expected to recommend new solutions to problems, to improve existing methods/procedures/services and generate new ideas.

May also review decisions made by other individuals on more routine matters. IMPACT OF DECISIONS Decisions have moderate impact to the facility/department or division, causing increased satisfaction or dissatisfaction; producing efficiencies or delays; promoting or inhibiting personal intellectual or professional development; and/or contributing to financial gain or expense. Errors may be serious, usually not subject to direct verification or check, causing losses such as improper cost calculations, overpayment or improper utilization of labor, materials, or equipment.

Effects are usually confined to the organization itself and is short term. COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS Negotiate and influence - interpret department strategies and services, resolves conflicts, influences outcomes on matters of significance for the division, conduct final negotiations and coordinates approvals/decision making below the executive level. Interactions are typically with customers and Top Management.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS Leads others in the resolution of highly sensitive and confidential issues on behalf of the department. Acts as a trusted advisor and becomes involved in the customer's decision-making process including presenting alternatives and information and applying persuasion and negotiation skills in the resolution of problems. Monitors customer service standards.
