Job description

Swarts, Manning, with locations in Nevada, California, and Utah, is seeking applicants for a Personal Lines Insurance Producer in Lehi, UT. This opportunity is designed for individuals that have a strong sales background and are ready to start a serious career in insurance sales with an organization eager to help them meet their goals and build a solid financial future.


Job Description:

Produce new personal lines business utilizing the Swarts Manning portfolio of insurance companies by performing the following tasks:

  • Engage and develop new clientele for personal lines throughout the region.
  • Provide proper hand off to the Account Executive and assist in anticipating client needs and helping to respond to client questions and issues in a timely manner.
  • Make necessary contacts both inside and outside of the organization in order to obtain client requested information and then relay information.
  • Review client exposures, loss experience, current coverages, and recommend appropriate products and services on an annual basis.
  • Create and present proposals to prospective clients.
  • Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and comply with all internal policies and procedures.


ExperienceRequirements:

  • A least three years of sales experience.
  • Holds appropriate state insurance license. Professional designations a plus, e.g. API, PLCS, etc.
  • Insurance experience a plus.


Competencies:

  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to network, develop relationships, and close deals.
  • Proven time management skills are necessary. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver timely and accurate work products with a customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required.
  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful and probing questions in order to determine a client's needs. Must be detail oriented with effective follow-up skills.
  • Must be highly proficient in the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience using customer or contact relationship management software strongly preferred, knowledge of Applied Epic is ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a team-oriented self-starter in a high visibility client environment.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company standards, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
