Finance Manager Position Purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible forassisting customers with financing options.
Finance Manager Essential Functions
Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
  • Works with Territory Managers and customers to obtain financing for the purchase of equipment
  • Provides customers with financing options and assists in defining the best solution
  • Collects and submits all information to the financial institution(s) to facilitate financing for customers.
  • Provides all financial information collected on Kirby-Smith customers to the Credit Department to inform their decisions on our unsecured credit exposure
  • Identifies, establishes, and cultivates relationships with customers. When necessary, leverage the relationship to coach customers to improve their financing position
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with Branch Managers, Sales Managers, and Territory Managers to ensure effective communication and optimum use of finance expertise
  • Obtains and maintains knowledge of available financing options and the current competitive market environment. i.e., rates
  • Obtains and maintains knowledge of all internal financing options, special programs, and promotions, i.e., Komatsu financial programs, as well as the requirements for filing documents specific to the financial institution, such as credit applications, etc.
  • Maintains relationships with financial institutions. Attends vendor functions for self-education and current industry trends
  • Coordinates with Sales Managers on RPO conversions with funding options
  • Conducts periodic training in financial merchandising with sales representatives
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance

Finance Manager Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred. Experience may be considered in place of formal education
  • Five (5) years of related experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
  • Exceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills

Finance Manager Physical Requirements
  • Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 20 pounds without assistance
  • Sitting long periods
  • Driving (local/long distance)
  • Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy
