Job description

We are a growing construction company seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permitting Assistant to support our Permitting Lead in the pre-development phase of projects. This role is essential to ensuring that projects move smoothly through the permitting process and meet all municipal and regulatory requirements on time.
The Permitting Assistant will coordinate with survey companies, architects, engineers, and internal teams, submit plans and documents to municipalities, review requirements, and help keep development timelines on track. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Permitting Lead in managing project development and permitting tasks
  • Submit plans, documents, and applications to municipalities and regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate with survey companies, architects, engineers, and internal departments to ensure requirements are met
  • Review plans and documentation to ensure city codes, regulations, and compliance standards are being adhered to
  • Track project timelines and ensure the permitting process is on schedule
  • Maintain accurate records of submissions, approvals, and communications
