H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a Database Administrator to provide support to the Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) Administration and Resource Management Division (ARI) in Washington, DC.  The Database Administrator will provide support for all databases in the on-premises SIPR and Azure Cloud SharePoint environment.

The Database Administrator responsibilities will include:

  • Performing database normalization/optimization, data modeling, database administration, database design, and SQL programming for on-premises SIPR and Azure Cloud SharePoint environment.
  • Managing SQL Server 2016 or higher databases, performing system and application troubleshooting, planning, testing, and executing database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Maintaining and optimizing the SIPR SharePoint production and COOP environments
  • Managing and maintaining vulnerability remediation for servers in line with cybersecurity requirements and reporting
  • Scheduling and monitoring full and incremental data backups of SIPR SharePoint and SQL servers
  • Restoring lost or deleted data from backups upon request
  • Database administration of the centralized SQL database environment
  • Maintaining a connection to the COOP environment to provide failover capability
  • Testing and migrating sites and data from the SIPR SharePoint portal to future SharePoint versions or cloud environment

Education:

  • Required - High School or equivalent diploma.
  • Desired - Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Information Systems preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years' Information Technology experience
  • Five (5) years' experience in Database Administration
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • MCSA:SQL Server 2016 or Higher Certification

Desired Qualifications:

  • MTA: Database Fundamentals Certification

Clearance Qualifications:

  • Must have a DoD Final Secret Security Clearance
