To thrive as a Performance Consultant, you need expertise in instructional design, business analysis, and organizational development, typically supported by a relevant degree and experience in learning and development or HR. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), data analytics tools, and performance assessment frameworks is essential. Performance Consultants work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including managers, HR teams, and subject matter experts, to assess current performance levels and identify the root causes of any gaps. This often involves conducting interviews, surveys, and data analysis to gather insights. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as consultants must ensure that all stakeholders are engaged and that recommendations are practical and supported throughout the implementation process.

Performance consulting is often used by companies seeking to maximize results and optimize their workforce.
