  • Make an Impact! As a Psychiatric Social Worker, you will play an integral role in the success of Main Line Health by assessing plans and coordinating social services for psychiatric patients. Primary duties include: coordinating and implementing discharge planning for unit patients; obtaining continued-stay authorizations from the patient's payer/MCO; facilitating patient's transit through the continuum of care utilizing appropriate resources; planning and organizing family assessment meetings; coordinating and leading family/individual therapy sessions when feasible; and providing education for staff within limits of the discipline

Position: Per Diem, Social Worker
Shift: Minimum 16 hours per month required (2, 8 hour shifts); must be available to work weekdays and weekends!
Experience:
1. Minimum of one year of experience on an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit with Crisis Intervention required.
2. Experience in behavioral evaluation required.
3. Ability to comfortably and competently assess a child, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient required.
4. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English sufficiently to perform job duties required.
5. Strong assessment skills required.
6. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in setting priorities and decision making skills and to share observations with the Psychiatrist, nursing staff and Allied Therapists required.
Education:
Master's Degree in Social Work required.
Licensures/Certifications:
Licensed Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania preferred.
