What is a Per Diem Kaiser?

A Per Diem Kaiser is a healthcare professional, such as a nurse or physician, who works for Kaiser Permanente on an as-needed or flexible basis rather than a full-time or part-time schedule. These workers fill in for staff shortages, cover shifts, or assist during busy periods. Per diem employees typically do not have guaranteed hours but may enjoy higher hourly pay rates and flexible scheduling. They may not receive the same benefits as regular staff but have the advantage of choosing when and where to work within the Kaiser Permanente system.

Does Kaiser offer benefits to per diem employees?

Per diem employees at Kaiser may not receive the same benefits as full-time staff, as benefits are often limited or not provided for temporary or part-time roles. However, eligibility for certain benefits can vary based on the specific position, location, and hours worked. It is recommended to review the specific job posting or contact Kaiser HR for detailed information.
