Job description

Echo Tech -Per Diem

Kaiser Viewridge Medical Office is seeking ECG Technicians for an 8–13 week assignment in the Cardiology Department.

Location Requirements:Candidates must be able to work at the following Kaiser facilities:

  • San Marcos
  • Zion
  • San Diego Medical Center (SDMC)

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • May be scheduled every other weekend
  • Kaiser will schedule 2–4 shifts per week
  • This position is treated like a true per diem role; however, candidates must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week and provide adequate notice for any unavailable dates.

Pay:

  • $37-43.00 per hour D.O.E.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Part 1 and Part 2 Basic ECG Course
  • Ability to pass an EKG Rhythm Recognition Test

Preferred Qualification:

  • Six (6) months of ECG experience

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and instruct patients while performing diagnostic EKG procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings as ordered.
  • Perform additional diagnostic testing, including Holter monitor and event monitor placement and recording.
  • Edit and confirm EKGs according to physician interpretation.
  • Review EKG tracings for significantly abnormal rhythms and escalate findings when appropriate.
  • Provide high-quality patient care while supporting the Cardiology team.
