Job description

Kaiser Aluminum Kalamazoo is looking for Production Technicians to join our D shift. This is a full-time opportunity with alternating 3 and 4-day work weeks, shift hours are 6:00pm to 6:00am.
We are a highly automated, Best-In-Class aluminum casting and extrusion facility looking for safety conscious, collaborative, hardworking people who are interested in being a part of our continuous learning environment. The Production Technician is responsible for operating automated equipment associated with the processes of extrusion or casting aluminum. The Production Technician must embrace these responsibilities while following safe practices, standard operating procedures, and meeting quality requirements for our customers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Six (6) months relative work experience (ex. agriculture, light manufacturing, product assembly, restaurant industry, or relevant experience)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude and drive to learn professional skills to help advance your career.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment and on problem solving activities.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift and other mobile equipment, a plus.
  • Must be able to work night shift 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
