As a Cardiac Rehab RN, you will be a pivotal caregiver, guiding patients through critical cardiac recovery and empowering them and their families with life-changing support and education.
Every day, you will expertly assess complex cardiac conditions, meticulously monitor patient progress, and collaborate seamlessly with our multidisciplinary team to optimize healing and long-term wellness plans, ensuring no two days are alike.
To be successful in this role, you will combine acute assessment skills and an adaptable, detail-oriented approach with a compassionate drive to go the extra mile, shaping enduring positive health outcomes for every patient.

  • Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass.
  • Performs appropriate assessment of patients of all ages served based on acceptable practice standards and according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assesses patient/family in areas relevant to cardiac rehabilitation and identifies selfcare deficits.
  • Develops care plan for each patient based upon the identified deficits.
  • Explains Cardiac Rehab goals and procedures to patients and their families.
  • Provides appropriate education to patients and/or family members and ensures patients have a thorough understanding of their heart and disease state, medications, home exercise program, diet, necessary lifestyle changes, and the importance of long term adherence.

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. and Experience and/or specialty training in cardiovascular rehab and critical cardiac care, preferably one year within the past two years., upon hire and
  • Associates Degree Graduate of an accredited registerednursing program., upon hire 
  • Experience and/or specialty training incardiovascular rehab and critical cardiac care, preferably one year within the pasttwo years., upon hire and
  • Completion of annual safety training. Completes and maintains required unit specific training., upon hire
