Job Type: Contract (6 month assignment)
Job Salary: $62-$64/hour
Job Schedule: M-F, 40 hrs/week
Job Location: Houston, TX 77002
Pre-Employment Requirements: Successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and any applicable assessments

We are seeking a Senior HR Systems Functional Consultant with deep expertise in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 to support a workforce management and HR systems enhancement initiative. This role will lead requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, deployment, and stakeholder engagement activities across Core HR, Workforce Administration, and Position Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead functional design, configuration, and implementation of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 solutions.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather requirements and improve business processes.
  • Configure and support Workforce Administration, Position Management, Job Data, Job Codes, Departments, Locations, and related HR structures.
  • Develop functional specifications, process documentation, test plans, and training materials.
  • Support integrations, data validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment activities, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Provide guidance on HR systems best practices, data integrity, and process optimization.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2.
  • Strong functional expertise in Core HR, Workforce Administration, and Position Management.
  • Experience with Job Data, Positions, Departments, Organizational Structures, Salary Plans, and HR foundation tables.
  • Proven success gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise PeopleSoft implementations, upgrades, or enhancements.
  • Strong documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public sector or highly regulated environment experience.
  • Functional knowledge of Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, Absence Management, or Recruiting.
  • Experience with organizational change management, training, and production support.
