Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cath Lab Technologist with 1+ years experience in pediatric and adult transplant biopsy, balloon, stent, and valve placement procedures.

Details
  • Work in a pediatric cardiac catheterization lab with 2 procedure rooms
  • Pediatric and adult transplant patient population within a Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab
  • Procedures include right/left heart transplant biopsy, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and valve placement
  • May also include interventional radiology cases, preferably pediatric
  • 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • On-call requirement of 8-10 shifts per month including weekend coverage
  • EPIC EMR preferred
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac cath lab procedures required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only accepted)
  • CCI certification with RCIS/RCES preferred, or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also acceptable
  • Radiology license required if applicable
  • Experience with cardiac stent placement and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
  • Experience with diagnostic catheterizations in adult and pediatric/neonatal populations preferred
  • Experience in EP procedures preferred
  • Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency
Additional Information
  • Perform pediatric and adult transplant cardiac catheterization procedures including biopsy, balloon angioplasty, stent, and valve placement
  • May assist with interventional radiology procedures
  • Facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital
  • All staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August and September
  • First-time travelers may be considered depending on position
  • Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for approval based on facility need
  • Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
  • Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local
