Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cath Lab position requiring at least 2 years of cath lab experience and a VA or compact RN license in hand.

Details
  • Pediatric Cath Lab unit within a children's hospital setting
  • Low-volume unit performing approximately 140 cases per year
  • Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Role includes circulating duties with options to monitor or scrub depending on skill set
  • Uses Epic for charting and GE Mac Lab equipment
  • Claris experience preferred for EP procedures but not required
  • Call requirements starting at 2 shifts per week with gradual increases based on lab needs
  • Candidates will float within scope if needed
Requirements
  • Active RN license (VA or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required, including pediatric cath experience
  • EP experience preferred but not required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Epic charting experience required
  • GE Mac Lab experience required
  • Previous charge nurse experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program (diploma, Associate's, or BSN accepted)
  • 2 professional references required
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing for pediatric cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
  • Facility maintains a natural nail policy
  • Facility is a smoke and tobacco free workplace
  • All candidates will be assigned non-billable orientation modules to be completed by the Friday of orientation week
  • Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius rules
  • Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from the facility for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
