Responsibilities for Personal Care Assistant (PCA):

  • Assist licensed and certified staff in providing quality resident care and support.

  • Make beds and maintain tidy, organized resident rooms.

  • Ensure call bells, bed controls, and essential items are within the resident's reach.

  • Assist with serving drinks, snacks, and meals in accordance with facility guidelines.

  • Provide companionship and socialization to support emotional well-being and engagement.

  • Answer phones and assist nursing staff with communication needs as directed.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident care areas as assigned.

  • Support residents with comfort-focused tasks to enhance their daily living experience.

Qualifications for Personal Care Assistant (PCA):

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Current CNA certification/license in the state of Maryland required.
